Overhead look at a SD40T-2 and GP38 at the Buffalo cnd Pittsburgh Railroad's locomotive maintenancc shops. Both of these have a rich history. BPRR 3301 was built as DRGW 5394, later became SP 5984, then KCS 6102/3170. BP RR 7822 w`s built as PC 7822 in November 1969 before moving onto Fonrail. It has always kept the same number. You can still see the Conrail name on the end of it. |

A set of switchers are beginning their shift on the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad in Butler, PA. Seen leaving the yard. Rochester and Southern Railroad #3807 GP40-3 has a very long history. Built as LN 4028 (GP38AC) in May 1971. Then became CSX 2158 (GP38AC), HHLC 205 (GP38AC), and VTR 205 (GP38AC). Rochester and Southern Railroad is one of many owned by Genesee and Wyoming Company. G&W also owns B&P Railroad which explains why these engines are here. |
