LN FP7 #666
Title:  LN FP7 #666
Description:  Fairly nice roster shot of an aging Louisville & Nashville FP7 #666 built by EMD in 1/1952. The loco was caught sitting idly in the Birmingham, AL yard. It's wearing the gray body and yellow nose paint scheme - wish this had been a color print! This is a Don Dover photo.

LN FP7A #673
Title:  LN FP7A #673
Description:  Here is another black shrouded Louisville & Nashville freight loco. The color scheme was one of the worst ever tried by any railroad. Boring and not very visible at night made this a poor choice. Loco history - EMD, August, 1949, serial #7537, nee-CEI 1603, ex-MP 936. Not sure what the disposition of this loco was after the L&N merger. No location was listed for this photo. This is a John H. Kuehl photo.

LN FP7A #670
Title:  LN FP7A #670
Description:  This all black paint scheme for the L&N freight lcoos was one of the most unflattering concepts any railroad tried. Penn Central also tried it as well as a few Conrail until smarter heads prevailed. Loco history - EMD, August of 1949, Serial #7535 ex-MP 933, nee-CEI 1600 Note the ouline of the MP emblem on the nose. This is a Paul C. Hunnell photo.
