NKP 772 |
Description: |
Erie, PA August of 1951. The city of Erie was having a week long celebration of their centennial. Also in this consist are the flat car, an NKP caboose and boxcar. According to the source of this info, there were stairs erected to allow access to the all this equipment, it would have been on the left side of the engine. This was NKP's small yard in Erie near Holland Street. Thanks to J. Kreider for this information |

Green Mountain #89 "switches" a Berk. |
Description: |
This is a really nice postcard I found. The GMRC engine was built in 1910 by the Canadian Locomotive Company for the Grand Trunk Railway, this engine became Canadian National No. 911, in class E-10-a, in 1923. These locomotives had 21x26-inch cylinders, 63-inch drivers and a boiler pressure of 170 pounds. They exerted 26,000 pounds of tractive effort and weighed 141,800 pounds. |
