ITSX 6253 at the new Logistics Park KC
Title:  ITSX 6253 at the new Logistics Park KC
Description:  ITSX SD40-2 #6253 working the west end of the month-old Logistics Park-Kansas City (LPKC) facility on 10/6/2013. This unit began life as a MoPac unit, and then found its way to Helm leasing before being repainted at Mid-America Car shop in KC. Reportedly, a second unit is on it's way from MAC. More info on ITS can be found here: www.in-termserv.com/ The park is located along the Transcon between Gardner and Edgerton, KS, and these pictures were taken on the west end of the yard from 191st St. The first few trains began arriving and departing withing the last two weeks. As of right now, much of the intermodal work in the city is still being handled at Argentine Yard, though that is slowly being moved down to the new facility.
