Freshly-remanufactured Union Pacific AC4400CWM 6253 was parked on the BNSF interchange just north of Wabtec’s plant in Fort Worth. The locomotive had been built in June 1995 as Southern Pacific AC4400CW 258 and was renumbered UP 6253 in January 2006. Its new sticker retains the unit’s original serial number of 48619; but its build date is shown as FEB 12, whatever that means, and shows that its weight has been increased from 412,000 pounds to 432,000 pounds. |
