Description:  Decapod #4315. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Philip R. Hastings that was taken in Leolyn, Pennsylvania, on 5 May 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad N-5B cabin car #477819 at the end of the southbound mixed-cargo freight train being pulled by PRR I-1SA "Decapod" #4315 as it passes through Leolyn. The conductor is snaring the train orders being held in the air by the railroader in the foreground. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Steam on the Pennsy's Elmira and Shamokin Branches" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (785-8).

Description:  Kern. Here is the second of four successive duplicate 35mm color slides of photos by Fred Kern that were taken near Vail, Pennsylvania, on 4 May 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4393, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during July of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in August of 1942, and retired in October of 1959 after 36 years of faithful service.
