Description:  Rolfe. Here is a photo by W.G. Fancher via Rail Photo Service that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in August of 1949. Caption On Reverse: "Looking over rear car of departing express west, #6432 lifts 187 cars for Pittsburgh & west. Three diesel pushers on for Horseshoe Curve climb. Altoona Shops in background. 8/1949." Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6432, a J-1A (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during September of 1943 and retired in April of 1958 after just 15 years of revenue service. Partially visible in the left distance is the 9th Street Footbridge. Photo taken from the 12th Street Footbridge.
