Description: |
The conductor is protecting the shove move around the east leg of the Opelika wye as the power is being turned for its trip back to Birmingham. The excursion train consist is to the left and the bridge in the distance crosses over the Western Railway of Alabama. 2716 will access WofA tracks to get to the east leg of the Opelika wye. The building on the left is the WofA freight house and just to the left of it is the crossing between the Southern Railway and Western Railway of Alabama. The former Central of Georgia depot sits to the left of the people gathered in the distance |
