| Here is a westbound BNSF general freight thundering through Long Lake on a delightful unseaonally mild last day of January. For power, the crew has a quartet of GE's at their disposal. Note the traffic flowing east and west along the finally opened Highway 12 bypass which parallels the BNSF from the western border of Wayzata to the outskirts of Maple Plain. Catching this train marks the start of the 2009 railfan season for me. |
