JR Morton General Great Shot...that's the way we ran them back then. 5 units & 85 cars or 4000tons whichever came first west out of West Springfield to Selkirk. Up thru Middlefield we could get off in the summer and walk as fast as the train was grinding up the hill; great memories, established my seneriority there 51 years ago this April. Those 10 hundreds were the best units for a hard pull; too bad their cab heaters didn't match their pulling ability on those cold north east winter nights inn the Berkshires. 6/14/2013 7:46:17 PM
