Seeing two engines on freight trains were not very common back then. 1586 however has the WORST RS5T I HAVE EVER HEARD, even for a straight SD40! Hard to believe both units are now retired; 1586 is now a slug, and 4616 went to Progress Rail in 2020 and I can only assume that it has been scrapped

Additionally, 4616 was one of the only GP59s to receive a P5 shortly after being built
