ATSF 5701         
EMPORIA KS June 1976 -- Santa Fe SD45-2 5700, resplendent in its bicentennial colors, handles the front end of Super C. EMD built the unit (b/n 72642-14) in April 1973 and delivered it in yellow warbonnet. It was repainted in bicentennial colors in the first half of 1975 and regained yellow warbonnet paint on June 17 1977/ In January 1988 it was rebuilt as SD45-2B 5517 and underwent maintenance at Morrison Knudsen in April 1994.
