| Known as North Edinburg; SP had a freight depot and a giant ice plant for chilling ice reefers. 1972 was the last year for using ice on SP, but it is unknown if this plant was used this late. Just north of here was a massive 6 or 7 yard track for 8000 foot trains. This yard was abandoned sometime in the mid 80s as it was no longer on a through route [abandoned North Edinburg-Falfurrias 1979-80]. |
