An Amtrak inspection train was negotiating the connection between the Missouri Pacific's Beaumont Subdivision and the former T&P Avoyelles Subdivision at Anchorage Junction, just west of Baton Rouge. The train was on its way from Marshall, Texas - and a connection with the route of the TEXAS EAGLE - to New Orleans. It consisted of F40PH 279, Amfleet coach 21068 and office car 10000; and as with most of these inspection trips, nothing ever came of it. |
