CMRR 401
The regular power for the excursion operations out of Kingston, CMRR 401 awaits the fall foliage season and the many visitors that it brings. Constructed by Alco in 1950 for the Illinois Terminal Railroad, the locomotive would gain its current number upon acquisition by the Green Mountain Railroad of Bellows Falls, VT, where it would work with two other RS-1s on the line between Rutland, VT and North Walpole, NH. It came to the CMRR in 1988 and has been working the east end of the U&D ever since.
