Here is a photo that was included in the "Altoona Area Railroad Pictorial History" edited by Linda White and published in 1996 by The Altoona Mirror, page 57. Photo Caption: "Part of the train crew of the Pennsylvania Railroad at the Altoona rail yards in the early 1900s." Prominent here is PRR engine #1463, an H-3A (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during October of 1891 and retired in May of 1918 after 27 years of faithful service. |
