| Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by J. David Ingles that was taken in Detroit, Michigan, in June of 1961. Photo Caption: "Baldwin RF-16 #2002, 1600-hp, at Detroit, Mich." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2022 and #9576. Both were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #2022 is a BF-16 built in March of 1952, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in January of 1967. #9576 is a BF-15 built in March of 1949, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in December of 1963. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-25). |
