Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in December of 1942 (serial #69792, U-2-g class), this locomotive had a longer service record than most of its fellow 4-8-4's. The unit lasted in service until being scrapped in September of 1961. H. L. Goldsmith caught this beautiful machine at the Turcot Yard in Montreal with a full head of steam and ready to roll out. |
