Big Boy 4006 rests between runs at the Laramie engine facilities. 4006 was built in September of 1941, and would be listed as laid aside waiting for repairs as late as November 30, 1958. However, by the end of 1960 it was marked as stored and unserviceable. It would stay on UP property for another five and a half months, before being donated to the National Museum of Transport in Missouri in May of 1961.
