PRR 8888, AS-10, c. 1964
Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8888, an AS-10 switcher built by the American Locomotive Company in November of 1950 and rated at 1,000 horsepower. Looks to me like it's powering a work train that's cleaning-up a derailed passenger train. Note the N-6B cabin car that's been refurbished and painted yellow for work train service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.
