PRR 4294, I-1SA, 1956
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 10 February 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4294, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during July of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in October of 1943, and retired in January of 1957 after 34 years of faithful service. Looks to me like it's on "hump" duty in its old age. ("Erail888"; #2 of 2)
