Here is page four of a seven-page article by Karl Zimmermann entitled "Pennsy's GG1s." It was published originally in the July-August 1987 issue of "Locomotive & Railway Preservation" magazine, page 35. All four photos depict PRR engine #4800, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built by General Electric as number "4899" in August of 1934, rated at 4,620 horsepower, renumbered "4800" in November of 1934, and now on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. This is "Old Rivets." |
