Passing the 3 headed signal at the S end of Shands siding. Check out the old base for the original SAL signal that once stood here. You can barely make out some markings on it which originally had the letter G and the milepost location here (G393 or so)

Carter Buchanan General G3932 This the original base for the ABS signals before SCL CTC'ed the line. SAL started it in the mid 60's with the south end of Shands to Greenwood hence those older SAL style signals at Fuller, Cross Hill and McDowell before CSX put the new PTC stuff in a few years ago.
