CLOVIS NM May 24 1980 -- The power for train 587 is ready to take an empty Duval liquid sulphur train south to Carlsbad. All it needs is a crew and to be coupled to the cars which are waiting on a track to the right. Unit 4674 was built by EMD in 1960 as an SD24. Santa Fe rebuilt the unit as a Locotrol master SD26 in 1973. Note Locotrol receiver B unit at end of the lashup. |
