Description:
This is one of the L-2b class Mikados that Baldwin built for the Milwaukee Road in 1923. This loco was built in May of 1923 as CMStP 8325 but renumbered in July of 1938 to MILW 425. After nearly 31 years of service, the loco was scrapped in July of 1954. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. No photographer was listed.

Fairly nice photo of Baldwin built 2-8-2 #430. Originally built in May of 1923, it carried the number CMStP #8330 until renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 430. The loco served for 30 years before the scrapper's torch took it down in February of 1953.
