| After getting the shot at Gateway, I again hit the interstate, getting to the I 44/Mo 249 interchange, and took 249 up to Mo 171 to bypass Joplin, which I knew would be a chase killer. It was a good decision, as I heard the detector at MP 150 go off just as I was clearing Airport Drive. I had enough time to get off to the side, but not to cross MO 171, which is a busy two lane at 1600. I was still able to manage a shot of the train coming off the through truss adjacent to the highway. I have to do this with a freight some time. |
